NEW FRAME LINE ALERT! EyeFly
We are excited to announce our newest frame line to Spectacle, EyeFly! If you’ve liked the idea of META glasses, but did not like the data intrusion, picture/video aspect or maybe felt they were too heavy or clunky, then EyeFly is for you! They are lightweight smart audio frames that use a simple bluetooth connection to your phone, iPad, or whatever you may be getting your music, podcasts or phone calls from. There are so many cool and unique aspects to the EyeFly frames that we wanted to spotlight each and every one here…
EyeFly calls itself sound in motion as the open-ear audio technology keeps you connected and seamlessly hands-free wherever you go. But let’s get down to the specifics! What can you do with EyeFly? Just about anything your phone will allow… music, podcasts, phone calls, and/or interactions with the AI within your phone. The bluetooth pairs almost instantly when you put an EyeFly frame on as heard by a little ring through the speakers. You can use finger taps on the temples to control sound, play the next song, pause a song, answer a call, reject a call, or even control remote picture taking of a group. The battery life will allow you to use the audio for 6 continuous hours before a charge is needed. With a recharge time of only 90 minutes, you won’t have much downtime without sound while the magnetic chargers snap into place to give a full charge.
One thing we think patients will absolutely love is the lightweight feel. The parent company of EyeFly is Modo, which explains just about all you need to know on how they will feel. If you’ve ever had a pair of our Modo frames or tried on their lightweight acetate frames in our optical, you’ll know exactly what I mean. You can wear them for hours forgetting they are on! They are very lightweight and comfortable with classic, easy shapes that will stand the test of any outfit or occasion. The EyeFly frames are much the same. For a tech frame, they are extremely lightweight with a thin frame front that hides the fact that there is any technology incorporated into the temples. It’s that simple though… with the tech enclosed completely to the temples, the appearance from the front is unmatched.

EyeFly started with the Drift, round model as the first launch. After seeing the demand for these smart audio frames, they have just recently launched the remaining three models, Nova- a more feminine shape, Amp- a simplistic square shape, perfect for just about anyone, and Axis- a cool, aviator style. All models come in an array of unique hues, and of course a classic, black color is available in each model as well. We love the option to order these frames in either a polarized sun lens or a clear, standard blue blocker lens option, too! Of course, we’d be happy to put prescription into any lens at our lab, without restrictions on prescriptions or what can be sent into the lab as the tech temples are removable!!
Yes, you heard that right! Not only are the tech temples simply removable with a tug, but every EyeFly frame comes with a pair of standard temples that can snap in it’s place just as easily. Let’s put this in perspective for you… you take your EyeFlys on vacation as your primary source of prescription sunglasses, but the tech temple battery runs out. You would like to charge the temples while you are out on a walk around town, but you don’t want to be without prescription sunglasses. Problem solved! Swap the temples and keep the tech ones charging in the hotel while you’re out and about seeing clearly. Pretty ingenious!
