We are excited to announce our newest frame line to Spectacle, One:1! It is pronounced One for One since that is exactly what this company is all about… For every one frame sold, the brand plants one tree to help keep them sustainable. We wanted to explain their mission further, detail the things we love about them and formally introduce you to all things One:1 here...
Like we touched on already, One:1 takes recycling to full circle with their frames. Stemming from their sister brand, Eco (also available at Spectacle! Read more about Eco clip-on glasses here), each frame is made up of recycled materials! The recycled material makes them very lightweight, comfortable and sustainable. By turning used plastic into new frames, they give existing materials a second life while keeping waste away from oceans and landfills. One:1 takes it one step further to ensure that not only the frames, but also the packaging align with their mission and goals. Each case and packaging minimize their carbon footprint by using recycled materials. Even the boxes that they use to ship to us are recycled paper! We love that they demonstrate their commitment to this goal in everything that they do.

Maybe the most unique thing about the One:1 frames is that they are the only frame line in our office to come ready-made with a prescription! They are available in reading strengths from +0.50 to +3.00, with quarter-step increments for a more precise fit. Each lens also comes standard with a blue blocker. So whether you need low or high magnification, there's a strength for you!
